Our Angus herd was established to breed bulls for our Buchan Black breeding program. This has proved very successful with great results in sale yards, carcass competitions, grazing trials and in the paddock.
The small elite stud of Angus cattle at Amberley Park are being dispersed as our
breeding operation is losing its leased farm.
Amberley Park’s foundation cows came from stud dispersals and we have added in recent years, a couple of very select heifers.

Angus Genes come from the following herds> Te Mania, Victoree, Sparta, Lawson’s, Merrigrange, Hazeldean Strathewen, Amberley Park and Bloodlines from: Scotch Cap, Westwind Rito 8503, Bushwhacker P65, New Dimension 7127, Hingala 469, New Design 1407,Connection X15, etc..
The cattle have been performance recorded and run on commercial and at times harsh conditions.
The herd (stud prefix is Cock & Bull) consists of:9 cows & calves & rejoined (PTIC) lots
4 joined heifers (PTIC) lots
1 stud bull lot & 3 commercial bull lots.Current weights are available.
The above cows and heifers (except VSN Y10) have been joined to CXL A6 Rocky A6 from
16/06/08.
VSN Y10 has been joined to VSN Z4 from 16/06/08
